Enrolling people under the Arogya Raksha Yojana Health Micro Insurance Scheme has moved from a paper based enrollment system to a mobile phone based enrollment system.  Details of each customer – age, sex, relationship, address are entered on the mobile phone and the member’s photograph is captured on the phone. This data is sent directly from the mobile phone to the insurance company’s server.

This technological innovation has helped cut down data entry errors, thus reducing the time between enrollment and delivery of cards to customers. The software was developed by Thinkways Software Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore.
